Yves Klein, Georges Mathieu, Jean Fautrier, Hans Hartung, Joseph Beuys, mais aussi C\u00e9sar, Araki, Ladislas Kijno ou encore Jacques Villegl\u00e9 et Larry Clark : les acquisitions d\u2019\u00c9ric institutionnelles d\u2019art contemporain d\u2019Europe, va d\u2019ailleurs \u00eatre fondatrice. Ils deviennent amis et leurs \u00e9changes \u00e9rudits d\u00e9passent largement le cadre de l\u2019art. <br \/>\u00c9ric Brugier fr\u00e9quente aussi J\u00e9r\u00f4me Neutre, pilier de la sph\u00e8re mus\u00e9ale parisienne (RMN-GP, mus\u00e9e du Luxembourg), curateur, expert, avec qui il partage un int\u00e9r\u00eat marqu\u00e9 pour la photographie contemporaine.<\/p><p>Avant-gardiste, \u00c9ric Brugier d\u00e9c\u00e8le d\u00e8s les ann\u00e9es 1990, au contact de la faune artistique underground parisienne, le potentiel de l\u2019art urbain. <br \/>Il croise Ben, Miss.Tic, acquiert les \u0153uvres de talents en devenir et les promeut aupr\u00e8s de son r\u00e9seau de collectionneurs. Et quand, en 2003, sa carri\u00e8re conna\u00eet un tournant avec la cr\u00e9ation de la Galerie Brugier Rigail (co-fond\u00e9e avec Laurent Rigail), fid\u00e8le \u00e0 ses principes, il place sous les projecteurs les artistes d\u2019hier, d\u2019aujourd\u2019hui et de demain au talent desquels il croit. La sc\u00e8ne artistique parisienne s\u2019en souvient : c\u2019est l\u2019ascension de Invader, de JonOne et de Nick Walker.<\/p><p>Le parcours d\u2019\u00c9ric Brugier, c\u2019est aussi une histoire de destins crois\u00e9s et d\u2019amiti\u00e9s durables. Il fr\u00e9quente JonOne depuis son arriv\u00e9e \u00e0 Paris, David Kunzli depuis plus de trois d\u00e9cennies, Miss.Tic jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ses derniers jours.Avec Laurent Rigail, directeur et fondateur du mus\u00e9e montpelli\u00e9rain Parcelle473, l\u2019amiti\u00e9 se double d\u2019un long partenariat professionnel. L\u2019\u00e9motion qu\u2019il met dans ce qu\u2019il fait, \u00c9ric Brugier la transmet \u00e0 ses collectionneurs, communiquant \u00e0 certains le \u00ab virus \u00bb, comme \u00e0 K. Maro, devenu partenaire et ami, qui officie d\u00e9sormais \u00e9galement avec bonheur comme galeriste \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al.\u00a0<\/p><p>Curateur passionn\u00e9,\u00a0\u00c9ric\u00a0Brugier\u00a0multiplie les expositions \u2013 in situ, au c\u0153ur de Paris, et hors les murs \u2013, soutenant ses artistes en pr\u00e9sentant leur travail au regard du grand public.\u00a0\u00c9ric\u00a0Brugier est aussi \u00e9diteur d\u2019art, un autre vecteur de diffusion des \u0153uvres de \u00ab\u00a0ses\u00a0\u00bb talents.\u00a0<br \/>Fort de son r\u00e9seau et de son instinct,\u00a0\u00c9ric\u00a0Brugier\u00a0pousse ses artistes vers les sommets. Une \u0153uvre de\u00a0JonOne\u00a0tr\u00f4ne d\u00e9sormais \u00e0 l\u2019entr\u00e9e de\u00a0l\u2019Assembl\u00e9e nationale, et Fabien\u00a0Verschaere\u00a0caracole d\u2019institutions culturelles (au centre Pompidou, entre autres) en \u00e9v\u00e8nements mondiaux (JOP de Paris 2024).\u00a0<\/p><p>Un peu philanthrope,\u00a0aussi,\u00a0\u00c9ric\u00a0Brugier\u00a0met son savoir-faire et ses connaissances au service de ses semblables.\u00a0Il participe \u00e0 l\u2019organisation d\u2019expositions \u00e0 destination des jeunes publics au Mus\u00e9e en herbe \u00e0 Paris (L\u2019Atlas en 2019)\u00a0et au Mus\u00e9e des Dominicaines de Pont-L\u2019\u00c9v\u00eaque. <br \/>Il\u00a0soutien\u00a0des\u00a0actions caritatives, \u00e0 l\u2019instar de la vente d\u2019\u0153uvres\u00a0street\u00a0art pour la Nuit de\u00a0Sainte-Catherine \u00e0 Lille, en 2022, au b\u00e9n\u00e9fice d\u2019une association soutenant\u00a0les enfants malades hospitalis\u00e9s, ou encore d\u2019un fond de dotation \u00e0 destination des enfants en s\u00e9jour \u00e0 l\u2019h\u00f4pital
